Defective coupler between the battery
and the hydraulic unit assembly
• Check the locking condition of the coupler.
• If there is a malfunction, repair it and connect the cou-
pler securely.

Open or short circuit in the wire harness
between the battery and the hydraulic unit
assembly
• Replace if there is an open or short circuit.
• Between ABS ECU coupler and ABS solenoid fuse.
(Red–Red)

Defective hydraulic unit assembly
If the above items were performed and no malfunctions
were found, replace the hydraulic unit assembly.

Hydraulic unit assembly (abnormal ABS motor power supply)
Symptom
Power is not supplied to the motor circuit in the hydraulic unit assem-
bly.

Blown ABS motor fuse
Check the ABS motor fuse. If the ABS motor fuse is
blown, replace the fuse and check the wire harness.
Refer to “CHECKING THE FUSES” on page 8-99.

Defective coupler between the battery
and the hydraulic unit assembly
• Check the coupler for any pins that may be pulled out.
• Check the locking condition of the coupler.
• If there is a malfunction, repair it and connect the cou-
pler securely.
