CHECKING THE IGNITION TIMING

Prior to checking the ignition timing, check the
wiring connections of the entire ignition system.
Make sure that all connections are tight and free
of corrosion.

battery powered timing light

inductive self-powered tachometer

(to the spark plug lead of cyl. #1)
