Check the immobilizer system indicator light
for continuity.
Refer to “CHECKING THE LEDs”.

Are the immobilizer system indicator light
OK?
Replace the meter
assembly.

CHECKING THE IMMOBILIZER SYSTEM
1. The immobilizer system indicator light
does not come on.
2. Voltage

Connect the pocket tester (DC 20 V) to the
immobilizer unit coupler as shown.
Negative tester probe

3. Wiring
S
Disconnect the meter coupler and immobi-
lizer unit coupler.
S
Check the immobilizer system indicator light
lead (light green) continuity.
(meter coupler – immobilizer unit coupler).

Is the immobilizer system indicator light lead
OK?
YES NO
The wiring circuit
from the meter to im-
mobilizer unit is
faulty and must be
repaired.
Replace the immobi-
lizer unit.

bilizer unit coupler (wire harness side).

The wiring circuit
from the main switch
to the meter coupler
is faulty and must be
repaired.

Turn the main switch to “ON”.

Measure the voltage (DC 12 V) meter cou-
pler (wire harness side).

Is the voltage within specification?
Replace the meter.
