Yamaha will accept no responsibility for any damages (including
consequential or incidental) incurred by the customer or any
third party as a result of loss or impairment of the data stored on
the CD-R or CD-RW media, regardless of whether such loss
could have been or actually was foreseen by Yamaha.
Nor does Yamaha guarantee the media against any defect that
may render it unusable.
Do not subject the CD-R/RW drive to vibration or rough
handling. Never touch the optical pickup.

optical pickup, your eyesight may be damaged. Follow the

• Do not open the optical pickup case.
• Do not peek inside the tray during operation.

Cautions for installation
In order to install the device correctly, please pay attention to the

orientation.
• Verify that this device has been installed correctly. If installation is
incorrect, the device might not work properly. Faulty connections or a
shorted power supply can cause malfunctions.
• Be careful not to lose any of the included screws.
• Using screws of the incorrect shape or length can cause malfunctions or
damage to the product. Use only the screws that were included with this
device.
• When installing or removing the device, be careful not to drop parts or
this device into the product.
• Make sure that the attaching screws are tightened firmly, and are not loose.
• Be careful not to touch any exposed metal portions of the device, or any
parts that are not essential to the installation process.
• The CD-RW drive is a precision device. Do not drop it or allow any
impact. Do not keep the unit in the place exposed to high temperature or
humidity.
• Before handling the device, be sure to touch a grounded metal surface to
remove any static electricity from your clothing and body. Otherwise,
static electricity may damage the device.
• Do not apply too much force by pushing the center of the device surface.

• If the device malfunctions, consult your dealer. Other stores may not offer
Yamaha’s authorized service.
