PRIMARY AND SECONDARY SHEAVES
INSTALLING THE PRIMARY AND
SECONDARY SHEAVES
1. Install:
• secondary sheave assembly
• V-belt
• primary sheave assembly
NOTE:
• Tightening the bolts
1
will push the second-
ary sliding sheave away, causing the gap
between the secondary fixed and sliding
sheaves to widen.
• Install the V-belt so that its arrow faces the
direction show in the illustration.
2. Tighten:
• primary sheave nut
1
• secondary sheave nut

NOTE:
• Use the sheave holder
3
to hold the primary
sheave.
• First, tighten the primary sheave nut
1
, then
tighten the secondary sheave nut

.
