CPA operating instructions
8.4 MAINTENANCE OF THE SuSPENSION AND LOAD HOOKS
Inspect the load hooks for deformation, damage, surface cracks, wear
and signs of corrosion as required, however, at least once a year. Actual
operating conditions may also require shorter inspection intervals. Hooks
that do not fulfil all requirements must be replaced immediately. Welding
on load hooks, e.g. to compensate for wear or damage is not permis-
sible. Load hooks must be replaced when the mouth of the hook has
opened more than 10% (Fig. 20). Nominal values and wear limits are
shown in the following table. If the following limit values are exceeded,
replace the components.

8.5 MAINTENANCE OF THE TROLLEY
In particular check the following parts:
• Side plates: For cracks or deformations in particular in the area of
bolted connections.
• Trolley wheels: Visually check for cracks. Wear on trolley wheel flanges.
Grease the transmission.
• Crossbars: In particular in the threaded areas for cracks and defor-
mations.
• Fastening nuts: Check for firm fit and tightening of screws, nuts and
locking devices.
Oil change
Replace the gear oil (approx. 0,38 litres) every 5 years, however, after
400 operating hours, at the latest.
For procedure, see maintenance instructions.
Appropriate disposal
It is recommended to dismantle the hoist after the end of
its service life in such a way that all components may be
recycled in accordance with the materials. All components
must be free of oil and grease.
