Load largest or heaviest bike first.

• 

Pull straps tight, 

diagonally over 

frame, hook into 

place.

•  Always load first bike with chain away from vehicle.
•  Always use cradles closest to vehicle.
• 

Use Wheel Strap to secure rear bike's front wheel to it's frame.

• 

Secure loose strap end.

Stabilize the 

bike frame in 

the cradles. 

Arrange 

bikes for best 

stabilization.

The straps 

can be 

routed under 

the cables.

A yakima TubeTop (see cover 

page) may be required to 

carry your bike safely.

 

Failure to load bikes properly 

can result in property damage, 

personal injury, or death.

To fold mast down and access the rear:

•  Insert the slider pin into 

the lock and lock it.

• 

Thread security cable around carrier 

frame and insert through cable's loop.

• 

Thread the cable through each 

bike wheel, and all bike frames.

• 

Verify that the pin is secure by  

pulling on the locked cable.

• Unload the bikes.

• Release safety pin and wire-lock.

Load additional bikes.

•  Alternate bike directions to avoid interference.

• 

Use Long Strap to secure bikes to carrier’s frame.

• 

Secure loose strap end.

Bikes should be as level as possible to avoid ground 

clearance issues and possible ejections.
