Initial Setting (setting is required only once at the beginning)
Start the transceiver
If the initial setting is completed in either "Portable Digital Node Mode" or "Portable HRI Mode", operation can be switched between
the two modes. It is recommended that the initial setup be completed in the same mode the PDN function will actually be operated.

Portable Digital Node mode (Supports linking to the Internet only in C4FM digital mode)

FT5DR/DE
1. Press and hold the [ GM/X ] key and [ BAND ] key and the [ POWER ] switch to turn the transceiver ON .

WIRES-X PDN
” is displayed on the LCD screen.

FT3DR/DE
1. Press and hold the [ X ] key, [ BAND ] key and the [ POWER ] switch to turn the transceiver ON .
“ WIRES-X PDN ” is displayed on the LCD screen.

FT2DR/DE
1. Press and hold the [

FTM-500DR/DE, FTM-300DR/DE or FTM-200DR/DE
1. Press and hold the [ D X ] key and the [ POWER ] switch to turn the transceiver ON .
“ WIRES-X PDN ” is displayed on the LCD screen.

FTM-400XDR/XDE or FTM-400DR/DE
1. Press and hold the [ D X ] key and the [ POWER ] switch to turn the transceiver ON .

FTM-100DR/DE
1. Press and hold the [ D X ] key and the [ POWER ] switch to turn the transceiver ON .

Portable HRI Mode (Supports Internet communication in digital mode and analog mode)

FT5DR/DE
1. Press and hold the [ GM/X ] key, [ F

] key and the [ POWER ] switch to turn the transceiver ON .
“ WIRES-X ” is displayed on the LCD screen.

FT3DR/DE
1. Press and hold the [ X ] key, [ BACK ] key and the [ POWER ] switch to turn the transceiver ON .
“ WIRES-X ” is displayed on the LCD screen.

FT2DR/DE
1. Press and hold the [ X ] key, [ BACK ] key and the [ POWER ] switch to turn the transceiver ON .
“ WIRES-X ” is displayed on the LCD screen.

FTM-500DR/DE, FTM-300DR/DE or FTM-200DR/DE
1. Press and hold the [ D X ] key, [ GM ] key and the [ POWER ] switch to turn the transceiver ON .
“ YAESU ” logo and “ WIRES-X ” logo is displayed on the LCD screen.
When connected to a PC and communicating with the WIRES-X software, “ WIRES-X NODE ” is displayed
in the center of the screen.

FTM-400XDR/XDE or FTM-400DR/DE
1. Press and hold the [ D X ] key, [ GM ] key and the [ POWER ] switch to turn the transceiver ON .
“ YAESU ” logo and “ WIRES-X ” logo is displayed on the LCD screen.
When connected to a PC and communicating with the WIRES-X software, “ WIRES-X NODE ” is displayed
in the center of the screen.

FTM-100DR/DE
1. Press and hold the [ D X ] key, [ GM ] key and the [ POWER ] switch to turn the transceiver ON .
“ WIRES-X ” logo is displayed on the LCD screen.
• Repeating the above operation will return the transceiver to the normal mode.
• To switch between “
Portable Digital Node Mode ” and “ Portable HRI Mode ”, start with the normal mode first and then
perform the above operation.
