2.11 Connecting to Pipe Network
1. Take note of pipe flow direction and align with arrow on VESDA Sensepoint XCL Flow Cap.
2. Create a
vertical offset
in the pipe run to direct flow to the Flow Cap using 4x60° elbows (supplied) as
shown below. Do not glue the pipes to the Flow Cap.
3. Where VESDA Sensepoint XCL is mounted close to the smoke detector ensure a 0.5m (1.64ft) minimum
linear pipe length between detectors.
4. Where VESDA Sensepoint XCL is mounted adjacent to pipes, introduce a
vertical & horizontal offset
in the pipe run using the 4x60° elbows (supplied) as shown below:
