air leakage. Do not use flexible ducting and leave room for mounting silencers.
The outside air intake duct and also the air exhaust duct must be rendered damp-proof between the
roof/wall vent and the Xcell 350V EC BP; this avoids formation of condensation on the outside of the
ducts. The air exhaust duct must drain in the direction of the unit.
5.3.2 Condensation drain
Warm exhaust air is cooled by the outside air in the heat exchanger. This causes the moisture in the
indoor air to condense in the heat exchanger.
The condensation water created in the heat exchanger is fed to a condensation drain.
The PVC condensation drain has an outside diameter of 32mm. The drain can be found under the unit
and must be connected to the water seal of the domestic waste-water system via a pipe or a hose. The
upper edge of the water seal must be mounted at least 40mm under the Xcell 350V EC BP
condensation drain. The end of the pipe or tube must exit below the water level.
Ensure that the water seal connected to the domestic waste-water system is always full of water.
Also ensure that the end of the hose is at least 60mm under the level of the water. This prevents the
Xcell 350V EC BP from sucking in any leakage air
.
5.3.3 Electrical connections
The Xcell 350V EC BP is fitted with a 1.5m long 5-core cable for mains connection.
The unit is not suitable for connection to the three-phase mains.
