OVEN REQUIREMENTS
1. The appliance and its individual shutoff valve must be disconnected from the gas supply piping
system during any pressure testing of that system at test pressures in excess of 3.5 kPa or ½-
psi.
2. The appliance must be isolated from the gas supply piping system by closing its individual
manual shutoff valve during any pressure testing of the gas supply piping system at test pres-
sures equal to or less than 3.45 kPa or ½-psi.
Gas Supply Testing Requirements
For Standard Ovens, if installing with a flexible gas hose, the installation must comply with
either ANSI Z21.69 or CAN/CGA-6.16 & a disconnect device complying with either ANSI
Z21.41 or CAN-6.9.
The installation must conform with local building codes, or in the absence of local codes, with
the National Fuel Gas Code, ANSI Z223.1, latest version, Natural Gas Installation Code, CAN/
CGA-B149.1, or the Liquid Petroleum Gas Installation Code, CAN/CGA-B149.2, as applica-
ble.
Gas Hose Requirements
A minimum of a 1
1/2”
supply line is required.
