The printer has been sitting in a cold room.
• Before operating the printer, allow it to acclimate
for several hours.
• Allow the printer to operate for several hours at
room temperature.
The relative humidity of the room is too high.
• Reduce the humidity in the room.
• Move the printer to a location where the
temperature and relative humidity are within the

When a toner cartridge approaches the end of usable life, the control panel displays a toner-low
message. When a toner cartridge is empty, the printer stops and displays a message on the control
panel.

Each new toner cartridge includes installation instructions.

Low Toner Status: Ensure that a new Toner Cartridge
is available.
The toner cartridge is low. Order a new toner
cartridge.
Replace the Toner Cartridge.
The toner cartridge is empty. Open the front cover,
then replace the toner cartridge.

When a drum cartridge approaches the end of usable life, the control panel displays a drum cartridge-
low message. When a drum cartridge is worn, the printer displays an end-of-life message, but the
printer continues to print.
