Temperature Considerations
Xantrex strongly recommends that you purchase and install
the optional Battery Temperature Sensor (BTS) to protect
your battery and improve charging accuracy. Attach the BTS
to the warmest battery.
If no BTS is connected, the charger defaults to the Battery
Temp. selection on the onboard display and remote panel.
WARNING: Fire hazard and battery damage
Ensure that the battery temperature setting (Cold, Warm, or Hot) is
set to the environment where the battery will be installed. If the
temperature is set incorrectly, battery damage, and possible fire
may occur because of overcharging.
Important:
When the Truecharge™ 2 Battery Charger is
operating, fans and lights (DC loads) may vary in speed or
intensity. This is normal. The Truecharge™ 2 Battery Charger
will not harm any load connected to it as long as there is a battery
present on that bank and the load can withstand the maximum
voltage of 16 V.
