STEAM
Use
(Steam) to steam vegetables, fruits, dumplings, chicken, fish, seafood or meat.
It has a maximum cooking time of 45 minutes, after preheating. The lid is used when
steaming to help retain the food’s bright colour, texture and nutrients.
1.
Add 500 ml of water to the cooking vessel.
2.
Turn the selector to STEAM. The LCD screen will display
‘00:00’.
3.
Turn knob to the right or left to select a desired cooking
time. Release the knob once the desired cooking time has
been set. The selected time and the START/STOP button
will start to flash.
4.
Press the START/STOP button to start cooking. A long
chime will sound and the START/STOP button will stay
illuminated.

The screen will display the desired cooking time with the
up arrow icon indicating that the temperature is rising.
6.
When the preheat temperature is reached, the arrow will
disappear. The appliance will beep, and the timer will start
counting down.
7.
Add food to the steam basket and steam until it is
appropriately cooked.
8.
Press the START/STOP button at the end of cooking to
turn off the unit, or select another mode if additional cooking is desired.
9.
The unit will stay on in STEAM mode for a maximum of 45 minutes.
NOTE:
The cooking time can be adjusted at any time during steaming by turning the
knob. The newly selected cooking time will flash three times before becoming solid.
STEAMING TIPS
•
Cut foods into uniform pieces for even steaming.
•
Foods cook more evenly if arranged in a single layer or with room for steam to
circulate around each piece of food. Avoid overfilling the basket. Cook large
amounts of food in batches if needed.
•
Always add liquid to the vessel to ensure that it does not boil dry. 500 ml is usually
adequate for the full 45-minute cycle.
