Inspection checks
Lubrication will reduce the braking force
of the overspeed governor and therefore it
is
strictly prohibited to lubricate any part
of the governor or the governor rope!
5.3.1
General checkings

Check the overspeed governor and belonging
components for damages and deformation
•
Check the fixing of the overspeed governor
5.3.2
Check the flyweights
(performance of the springs, proper
operation/movement)
5.3.3
Check the axial movement of the fly-
weights

o not adjust the flyweight-springs or do
any other settings!

the overspeed governor is faulty, please
