2. Installing the Fan Coil
Wine Guardian split system fan coil units should be in-
stalled indoors inside the wine room. The fan coil unit can
be located either above, or below the condensing unit in
height Keep any height difference to a maximum of
15’ (4.57meters).
Surface Mounting
Locate the wall studs using a stud finder and mark
locations. (Pic 1 & 2)
Mark the bracket mounting location on the wall and
secure the bracket to the wall studs. (Pic 3).
C. Mark a 1/4” and 5/16” hole in the wall where it is re-
quired to run the refrigerant lines and 1/2” hole for
the condensate drain.
D. Cut the holes in the wall and route the refrigerant line
-
sets, condensate drain, and 24-volt control cable.
Hang fan coil from bracket.
Through-the-Wall Mounting
Locate the wall studs using a stud finder and mark
locations. (Pic 1 & 2)
Mark penetration dimensions on the wall for mount-
ing location, around 6ft off the ground is ideal (Pic
4).
C.
Cut a 14.5”W x 16.25” H hole and slide the
EasyMount™ sleeve through wall so that it is flush
with the wall surface
(
make sure the sleeve is level
and square)
. (Pic 5)
D.
Screw sleeve into wall.
Slide unit through the Easy Mount sleeve and caulk
joint between unit and sleeve with silicone. Install
insulation strips around perimeter of sleeve.

2. Installing the Fan Coil Cont.
Fan-Coil Connections
Bend refrigerant tubing gently on back side of fan coil and
braze suction and liquid lines to interconnecting lines to the
condensing unit.
Connect the control wire to the 2-point, 24volt terminal strip.
C. Connect the condensate drain line to the drain at the back
of the unit. A one-inch drain trap is required for proper oper-
ation.
CAUTION: DRAIN LINE IS NOT INTERNALLY TRAPPED
(a
1” deep trap is required for proper operation)
D. Plug in power cord to dedicated electrical receptacle
