Connecting the Switch to Ethernet Ports

4.4.1

RJ45 Ethernet Cable Wiring

For RJ45 connectors, data-quality, twisted pair cabling (rated CAT5 or better) is recommended. The con-
nector bodies on the RJ45 Ethernet ports are metallic and connected to the GND terminal. For best perfor-
mance, use shielded cabling. Shielded cabling may be used to provide further protection.
