2.20.6 Optional functions of
ricos
COUNTER
The optional functions can be activated via the control data. The functions are
available for each counter.
The functions of the input terminals COUNT- can be modified:
1. Deletion of counter content (DELETE)
2. Selection of counting direction (DIRECTION)
Threshold comparison with rapid output signals (ON delay approx. 0.02 ms, OFF
delay approx. 0.2 ms).
Two variants for comparison of threshold value:
1. Count < threshold value
2. Count >= threshold value
When using the module for 2 x 32 bit counters, 2 threshold values can be
preselected.
Interference suppression with digital filters for
200 Hz, 2 kHz, 20 kHz, 200 kHz.
2.20.7 Complete control data from PLC to module (outputs)
5 words are transmitted from the PLC to the module. The first 4 words have
various meanings depending on word 5.

MSB: Most Significant Byte
b: Binary display *: See below for details
LSB: Least Significant Byte
*Word 3 and word 4 are not transmitted at a set data width of 3. Word 5 is then
transmitted as word 3.
