IMPORTANT
Each of the 8 combined I/O channels can either be operated as an input or an
output. This means that both an input address space and an output address
space are reserved in the bus coupler as a process image. The user must note
that an input channel (e.g. initiator) cannot be used simultaneously as an output
channel but that an output can be read back as an input. The switching function
can therefore be monitored by the PLC.
NOTE
In the case of modules with digital combined channels, it should be noted that it is not permitted to
apply 24 V to a combined channel without providing the supply voltage.
Otherwise, the voltage is fed back via the output circuit of the combined channel into the supply
voltage terminal of the module. This can lead to a malfunction or the destruction of the output circuit.
