Power failure during deposition
In the event of a prolonged power failure during
electroforming, the process will be halted. The
error code can be cleared from the display by
pressing the Start/Stop button. Then the unit has
to be reset by pressing the mode button. If the
electroforming thickness is less than 0.15 mm,
it is not advisable to use the parts (they may not
be suitable for firing).
Such parts should be made again.
It is recommended to install a failsafe system
(constant power supply) in order to protect
against machine down time in the event of a
power outage. You can obtain such a device
from your electrical supplier.
Faults in the electroformed parts
Parts turn out dull or dark:

No brightener additive was used.

The gold electrolyte volume was incorrectly
measured.
Calculate the precise gold electrolyte volu-
me required on the basis of the comparison
chart (check by referring to the gold electrolyte
quantity display). This will help you to get the
most from the gold electrolyte available.
