checked in turn. If the contact LED is constantly dis-
played, the contact is in order. If the LED flashes, there
is no contact.
You can interrupt the process and rectify the fault
(e.g. copper rod not correctly inserted into the socket)
by pressing the Start/Stop button. Then press the
Start/Stop button once again. The contacts will then be
checked again.
If you do not interrupt the process in the event of
a faulty contact, the unit will still commence the
heating procedure after approx. 30 seconds.
During the heating-up procedure the Level indicator
displays a rotating dash. The power levels set can be
viewed throughout the entire process by pressing the
corresponding channel buttons. However, it is no longer
possible to alter the power level at this stage.
The unit starts the electroforming process automati-
cally when the required temperature of the bath is
reached.
Until this temperature is reached, possible errors (e.g.
incorrect loading or incorrect electroforming thickness,
wrong power level, too little gold electrolyte or brighte-
ner additive forgotten) can be corrected by pressing the
Start/Stop button, which interrupts the heating-up pro-
cess. After making the correction, press the Start/Stop
button once more. The operation LED lights up during
the electroforming process.
When the electroforming process is complete (electro-
forming time display shows “End”), the unit reverts to
standby mode. The contact LEDs are illuminated and
the power levels can still be viewed.
Pressing the mode button clears the previous settings.
The unit is then ready for a new deposition process.
