REMOVING AN ELEMENT & LIMITER AND
THE HOT SURFACE INDICATOR ASSEMBLY
NOTE:
Sharp edges may be present.
1.
Unplug the refrigerated range or discon-
nect the power.
2.
Remove the control panel from its
subchassis, (see page 4-2 for the proce-
dure), and position it forward as shown
below.
3.
Remove the five screws and flat washer
from the control panel subchassis.
4.
Lift the front of the cooktop assembly and
prop it up with a 15
″
piece of board so that
you can access the components (see the
photo at the top of the next column).

TION:
Be careful that the cooktop does
not accidentally fall.

To remove an element and limiter:
a) Remove the wires from the element
and limiter terminals.
b) Remove the screw, or pull the end of
the retaining rod out of the bracket, and
remove the element and limiter from
the bottom of the cooktop.
