REMOVING THE MAIN AND FAN
MOTORS & CAPACITORS
Electrical Shock Hazard
Disconnect power before servicing.
Replace all parts and panels before
operating.
Failure to do so can result in death or
electrical shock.
WARNING
1.
Unplug dryer or disconnect power.
2.
Pull the dryer away from the wall so that
you can access the rear of the unit.
3.
Remove the drum and belt from the dryer
(see pages 4-6 and 4-7 for the procedure).

To remove either of the motor capaci-
tors:
a) Loosen the 1/2
″
hex-nut and star
washer on the capacitor mounting stud
and remove the capacitor from the
motor.
b) Pull the round terminal cover off the
motor capacitor.
c) Disconnect the brown and blue wires
(main motor), or the red and blue wires
(fan motor), from the motor capacitor
terminals.
