REMOVING THE OPERATING & SAFETY THERMOSTATS
Electrical Shock Hazard
Disconnect power before servicing.
Replace all parts and panels before
operating.
Failure to do so can result in death or
electrical shock.
WARNING
1.
Unplug dryer or disconnect power.
2.
Pull the dryer away from the wall so that
you can access the rear of the unit.
3.
Remove the drum and belt from the dryer
(see pages 4-6 and 4-7 for the procedure).
4.
Remove the wire connectors from the
thermostat you are servicing.
5.
Remove the two T-20 Torx screws from
the thermostat and remove it from the
dryer.
NOTE:
The operating thermostat is
identified by a green dot on the body. The
safety thermostat has a white dot on its
body.
