Electrical Shock Hazard
Disconnect from electrical supply before ser-
vicing unit.
Failure to do so could result in electrical
shock or other personal injury.
WARNING
Test Procedure
Refer to page 4-18 for the location of the
oven temperature sensor and the procedure
for servicing it.
To test the oven temperature sensor, per-
form the following steps:
1.
Use an ohmmeter and set the range switch
to R x 10.
2.
With no power applied, touch the leads of
the ohmmeter to the connector pins of the
sensor (you do not have to separate the
connectors). Depending upon the oven
temperature, you should obtain the corre-
sponding reading:

BIMETAL SWITCH
Electrical Shock Hazard
Disconnect from electrical supply before ser-
vicing unit.
Failure to do so could result in electrical
shock or other personal injury.
WARNING
Test Procedure
Refer to page 4-6 for the location of the bimetal
switches and the procedure for servicing them.
To test the two bimetal switches, perform the
following steps:
1.
Use an ohmmeter and set it to the R x 1
scale.
2.
With no power applied, touch the ohmme-
ter leads to the switch terminals as follows.
You should obtain the following readings
at the indicated temperatures:
Ambient Bimetal Switch
= continuity be-
low the trip temperature of 203˚F.
Cooling Fan Bimetal Switch
= open below
the trip temperature of 104˚F.
If the reading is not within the range shown,
the switch is defective and should be re-
placed.
