How to clean and care for it:
This mincer is not suitable for dishwasher use.
Please thoroughly clean all components with dishwater before using them for the
first time.
When using it later you may only rinse the components with warm water. If it is very
soiled, add a little bit of washing liquid to the water. It is important to carefully dry
off all components.
Assembly:
The worm is pushed into the housing and the four-wing blade is attached in front.
Please remember that the cutting surfaces of the blade have to point towards the
perforated disc.
Insert the perforated disc so that the locking pin in the housing and the recess inter-
lock in the perforated disc. Then use the union nut to fasten everything together.
The handle is inserted into the cylinder element.
Please ensure that the mincer is on a table edge so that you have sufficient space to
turn the handle.
Assembly Baking Attachment:
Warning:
When using your mincer, do not put your hand into the worm when inserting meat or
dough. When disassembling your mincer, also remember that the blade is sharp.
Recipe for German shortbread
250 g butter or margarine
250 g sugar
2 packets vanilla sugar
3 egg yolks
1 dessertspoon milk
500 g plain flour
2 level teaspoon baking powder
Electric oven: 200° C
(preheated)
Gas: Mark 4 (not preheated)
Baking time: approx. 10 – 15
minutes
Mix butter, sugar, vanilla sugar and egg yolks using the dough
hooks of a hand mixer. Mix 2/3 of the flour with the baking
powder and add to the creamed mixture together with the
dessertspoon of milk. Gradually knead in the rest of the flour.
(Tip: we recommend placing the dough in a refrigerator
overnight and then kneading it through thoroughly with your
hands the next day).
Twist the dough through the Westmark mincer using the bis-
cuit attachment. Lay the individual dough pieces on a baking
tray lined with greaseproof paper.
