Step 6
. Before connecting the horizontal run of vent pipe to the vent termination, slide the Wall Firestop over
the vent pipe on the interior side of the wall.
Step 7
. Slide the appliance and vent assembly towards the wall, carefully inserting the vent pipe into the vent
cap assembly. It is important that the vent pipe extend into the vent cap sufficient distance so as to
result in a minimum pipe overlap of 1¼ inches (32mm).
Step 8
. Slide the Wall Firestop up to the wall surface and attach with screws provided (see Figure 33).
