Operation
Handle (5)
The handle serves for carrying the steam iron
base and additionally as a safety switch off.
For tilting the handle, press both release buttons
(6) simultaneously inwards and tilt down the
handle.
Safety Switch Off
If the handle (5) is in the upright position, the base is automatically
disconnected from power mains and the steam iron is switched off although
the power plug is inserted into the socket.
Furthermore the steam iron is equipped with an automatic shut off. This
automatic shut off will only be activated if no button is pressed for the duration
of 60 minutes.
Before the automatic shut off is activated you will hear 5 beeps and then the
device will switch off. On the display the red symbol is displayed.
Selection Button (2) and Display (3)
With the selection button you can select the desired
temperature. When pressing the selection button, the
red symbol disappears and the first temperature
setting 1. NYLON is displayed. The sequence of the
temperature setting is:
1.NYLON
2.POLYESTER
3.RAYON
4.COTTON
5.LINEN
Switching On the Steam Iron
After tilting the handle, plug the power plug into a grounded wall socket. The
red symbol lights up and shows that the steam iron is switched on but not
ready for use.
After pressing the selection button several times, the setting 5.LINEN
appears. If you press the selection button once more, you will switch off the
steam iron and the red symbol will light up. When pressing the selection
button again, the temperature setting starts with 1.NYLON etc. Each time the
