Installationconfigurations
A fully configured AMS400A can be installed in three ways:
• ‘AA’ - between analogue controlling equipment and analogue
control element
• ‘dA’ - between digital controlling equipment and analogue control
element
• ‘dd’ - between digital controlling equipment and digital control
element
Analogue means standard current/voltage signals, e.g., 4-20 mA loop.
Digital means two digital lines (one for ‘up’ and one for ‘down’) which
can be voltage pulse, solid state switch or relay contact closures.
The three installation configurations are described in detail under
separate headings below.
Note: for connection to analogue control devices the AMS400A must
be fitted with the analogue output option (/AO). For digital control
devices, the AMS400A must be fitted with the relay output option
(/RO).
