Fuel supply control rod of fuel injection
pump moves inflexibly or normal
functioning of regulator is damaged, then
amount of pumped fuel fluctuates and
operating stability of engine is influenced.

personnel to recalibrate or
replace.

Contact between parts of speed regulator is
too tight and resistance of motion is too
large; fuel supply control rod moves
inflexibly

Too much engine oil is filled into speed
regulator, extending and retracting of
centrifugal weight is blocked and sensitivity
is reduced because of damping action of oil
fluid.
Check if amount of engine oil in
oil pan is too march and
lubricating oil return pipe of
speed regulator is blocked or
not, and have it cleaned and
replaced when necessary.

Various connecting points of speed regulator
are worn excessively, contact is loose and
clearance increases. When speed of engine
changes, all clearances shall be eliminated in
turn under centrifugal thrust of flyweight,
and then fuel supply adjusting rack (or
shifting fork) is driven to increase or
decrease amount of fuel being supplied, in
order to delay functioning of speed regulator.
