Before using the heater for the first time fit the control unit cover to prevent
the non-permitted escape of hot air (heater overheating).
The cable passage can be placed at either the left or right side.
To ensure that the cable passage in the control unit cover seals correctly,the
cable grommet is to be adjusted appropriately on the wiring harness.
9.3.
Supply voltage connection
To protect the heater, a fuse (to SAE J 1284, also see Fig. 27)
must be fitted. It is preferable that the fuse holder supplied
with the heater is installed in the vehicle interior.

NOTE:
Raise the control unit cover on both sides using a blunt blade
(Figure 26 arrows).
IMPORTANT
To enable a run-on period, never perform a hard shut-down
of the heater (de-energised).
It is possible to actuate an electrical battery isolator (see
wiring diagram Fig. 35).

A clearly visible tell-tale in the operator’s field of view shall in-
form when the combustion heater is switched on or off.

IMPORTANT
The Air Top Evo 40 / Air Top Evo 55 is a standalone system
which is independent of the motor with integrated
temperature control.
Additional automatic control for the purpose of temperature
regulation is not permitted.
