❑
Mount the ESC to the foam area in front of the receiver.
Use a small piece of double-sided tape to hold it in place.
☞
Notice how we cut out a portion of the top deck to allow the
battery wires to exit. This allows you to mount the receiver
back more, so it doesn't interfere with battery installation and
removal, and it also reduces the stress on the battery wires.
❑
If your ESC has an on/off switch, mount it to the fuselage top deck, next to the ESC. We used a small piece of double-
sided tape to hold our switch in place.
Step 4: Installing the Flight Battery
❑
Cut a small piece of Velcro
®
and stick one half of it onto
the bottom end of the flight battery, as shown.
IMPORTANT
Install the Velcro
®
on the end of the battery
that the wires come out.
❑
Slide the flight battery into place under the plastic top
deck, making sure that the motor wires do not interfere with
the battery. You should be able to push the battery forward
until it touches the front of the fuselage.
❑
After finding the final location of the flight battery when
balancing the airplane, apply the remaining half of the Velcro
®
piece onto the fuselage to hold the battery in place.
Step 5: Installing the Canopy
❑
Using a pair of scissors, carefully cut out the clear canopy along the molded scribe lines.
❑
Use 220 grit sandpaper with a sanding block to sand the edges of the canopy smooth and straight.
❑
Using a modeling knife, carefully cut out the air-exit holes in the canopy, using the molded scribe lines as a guide. One
hole is located on each side of the canopy, near the front.
