Remove the gear box assembly and set it aside.

Using a drill with a 1/16" diameter drill bit, drill pilot holes through the motor mounting plate at each of the three marks
you drew.
❑
Set the gear box assembly back into place and realign it. Install and tighten the three M2.5 x 1 wood screws to hold the
gear box assembly securely in place.
IMPORTANT
When installing the gear box, install one M3 flat washer between the gear box and the motor plate
on the
top two screws only
. This will put about 1º of downthrust in the gear box and is required for the airplane to
fly properly.

(1) Elevator/Rudder Servo Mounting Board - 2 Parts

Using the tip of your modeling knife, remove the die-cut
piece from inside each piece of elevator/rudder servo
mounting board.
❑
Remove one piece of servo mounting board from the
protective backing and stick the board to the side of the
fuselage, making sure that the cutout in the mounting board
is aligned over the servo cutout in the side of the fuselage.

Repeat the procedures above to apply the second piece of elevator/rudder servo mounting board to the other side of
the fuselage.
