Checking the Sump Oil Level

Use the illustration and instructions to check the oil
level. Check the compressor oil level daily and
replenish the oil accordingly.
1 The oil level is too high when it is higher than
halfway up the sight window. Drain the
appropriate amount of oil. Refer to:
"Changing
the Sump Oil" on page 95.
2 The oil level is too low when it is lower than
halfway up the sight window. Add the
appropriate amount of oil. Refer to:
"Adding Oil
to the Sump" on page 94.
3 The appropriate oil level is halfway up the sight
window.
