Welcome to your handwash unit. The unit has been designed and manufactured from quality
materials. If these user instructions are followed, the unit will give reliable efficient service. If
you need further information, please contact Wallgate Ltd.
The two models are follows:
Push button operation, model CME_41.
Automatic infra-red sensor operation, model CME_45.
It is important that you establish which model of unit you have installed so that you are able
to follow these instructions correctly. The cycle times for the unit have been set to provide
highly effective hand washing at low cost.
The installer will have passed to you this manual & the key to open the lower drawer panel.
The upper fascia panel is secured with two security screws which require a RESIST-TORX
T30 key.
2. OPERATING THE UNIT
The unit is switched “ON” or “OFF” by the isolation switch behind the top door panel or at the
mains switch located near the unit on the wall. If a fault occurs with the unit, then it must be
switched “OFF” until a qualified engineer has repaired the fault.
WARNING:
Unqualified personnel must not remove the internal cover, due to the risk of
electric shock.
For the CME-41 push button operated model follow the instructions below:
For soap dispensing press the hand or foot button marked “SOAP”. Dosage depends
entirely on the number of times the button is pressed. The electric type pump runs for a
pre-set time 0.3 seconds to deliver approximately 5ml of soap. This can only be adjusted
by consulting the manufacturer. The soap button however can be pressed several times
for repeat operations if more soap is required.
For water dispensing press the push button marked “WATER”. The time cycle has been
set to 12 seconds. The setting can be adjusted as detailed on the following page titled
“Time Cycle Adjustments”. The water cycle can be repeated by pressing the button again.
For hand drying, press the hand or foot button marked “AIR. The time cycle will have been
set to 35 seconds and can be adjusted as detailed on the following page “Time Cycle
Adjustments”. The air cycle can be repeated by pressing the button again.
Note: The water & air cycles can be interrupted when in operation. For example, when the
water cycle is running, pressing the air button will stop the water and start the air cycle.
Similarly, pressing the soap button would cancel the water cycle if it were running at the time.
