with priming the system can usually be cured by pumping warm water through the
system. It is recommended that this should be done occasionally to clear any solidified
soap from the tubing and dispensing nozzle.
c) Close and lock the drawer. Depending on the usage, the soap level should be checked
periodically.
4. ADJUSTING WATER TEMPERATURE
a) An inlet flow control valve is located within the unit cabinet towards the lower left side.
Adjusting the water flow rate through the instantaneous heater controls the temperature of
the water being dispensed from the unit. The recommended flow rate is 1.6 litres of water
per minute, to achieve a temperature between 35 to 45 degrees centigrade depending
upon the ambient level of the cold supply. The units 3Kw heater will raise the ambient
level by approximately 25 degrees centigrade.
b) Adjust the flow by rotating the valve clockwise to increase the temperature, &
anticlockwise to decrease the temperature. Make small adjustments and activate the
water cycle to check the effect.
Note that the unit is fitted with a safety flow switch, which will only operate the water heater
when the flow rate is set above 1.2ltr/min.
5. MAINTAINANCE
Wallgate operates a comprehensive service package, details of which can be obtained from
our After Sales Service department. A full spare parts facility is also available.
WARNING!
The water heater is an open outlet type and under no circumstances should the
water outlet nozzle be allowed to become blocked, or connected to any pipe or tap.
From a user’s point of view, the most important care items are:
Clean the water spray periodically to remove lime scale.
Clean the soap-dispensing nozzle.
Check the soap level at regular intervals and only use recommended soaps.
Have the fan motor brush wear checked periodically by an electrician.
Clean the unit and the basin with recommended lime scale removers.
Granite effect units can be polished with wax to enhance the finish of the fascia; a
cleaning technical sheet is available by contacting our offices.
Any service or repair work must be carried out by a qualified engineer, which during the
