Unloading:
a. Extend the stabilizers using the outer hydrau-
lic lever controls. Be sure to transfer part of
the weight of the trailer onto each stabilizer to
insure the pad is supported and will supply the
required stability.
b. Release the grapple from its stowed position.
c. Raise, swing and move the boom, dipper and
grapple into position to pick up a log.
d. Rotate the grapple so the jaws are at right
angles to the longitudinal axis of the log.
e. Open the jaws and lower the grapple.
f. Close grapple and lift load/log.
g. Slowly swing the load/log away from the trailer
and lower it to the ground.
h. Open the jaws and release the log.
i. Repeat with the next log(s) until unloading is
completed.
j. Stow grapple by clamping to trailer frame.
IMPORTANT
Estimate the position of the
log center of gravity to keep it
balanced when moving, lifting
or swinging.
