7 Maintenance
Checking the engine oil level
1. Stop and park the machine. Stop the engine. See “Preparing
lubrication”.
2. Open the engine cover.
3. Wipe the area around oil-level dipstick with a lint-free cloth.
4. Pull out oil-level dipstick

and wipe it with a lint-free cloth.
5. Slide in oil dipstick
A
completely.
6. Withdraw it and read off the oil level.

The oil level must be between the MIN and MAX marks.

Add engine oil if necessary.
7. Slide in oil dipstick

completely.
8. Close and lock the engine cover.
Filling up engine oil
1. Stop and park the machine. Stop the engine. See “Preparing
lubrication”.
2. Open the engine cover.
3. Open filler cap

4. Raise oil dipstick
A
slightly to allow any trapped air to escape.
5. Add engine oil.
6. Wait at least five minutes until all the oil has run into the oil sump.
7. Check the oil level.
8. Add oil if necessary and check the oil level again.
9. Close filler cap

10.Slide in oil dipstick
A
completely.
Environment
Use a suitable container to collect fluids and lubricants as they flow out
and dispose of them in an environmentally friendly manner.
