4. Prefilter

Clean the prefilter with low-pressure compressed air. If the prefilter
is extremely soiled, wash it in a solution of mild detergent and warm water.
Rinse the prefilter thoroughly in clean water. Allow it to dry thoroughly before
reinstalling.
Note:
Do not oil the prefilter.
5. Wipe out the filter housing
(d)
with a clean cloth. Do not use compressed air.
NOTICE:
Do not allow dirt to get into the engine intake port
(k)
while cleaning.
Damage to engine will result.
6. Check that the precleaner debris ejector slot
(i)
is clear.
Result
The air cleaner has now been serviced.
