Configuring the Function Keys
After you have clicked
Apply
, the
Save
button appears at the top of the window. Click
Save
to prevent the
changes to be lost if there is a power outage or if the phone is disconnected from its power source.
P
rogramming the function keys
The idle function of each function key can be changed by clicking on the drop-down list to the right of the
text field, selecting a function from the list, and clicking on the
Apply
button. With the exception of the freely
programmable keys P1 and P2, you cannot change the functions that are available on function keys when the
phone is active, for example when you are in a call, when the phone is ringing, etc.
This chapter will show you two examples for customizing function key settings to your needs and preferences:

First example: Extension monitoring and call pickup via a freely programmable function key with LED
•
Second example: Changing the setting of a context-sensitive key.
