Park Assist Camera (PAC)

The Park Assist Camera system is designed to
provide the driver with a view of the area around
the vehicle in the form of a camera image and
graphics in the center display.
PAC is a supplementary parking aid that can be
activated automatically when the gear selector is
in
R
or by tapping a button in the center display,
depending on the selected settings. See also the
article "Starting the Park Assist Camera."

NOTE
A trailer hitch whose wiring is integrated with
the vehicle's electrical system will be taken
into account when measuring the available
space behind the vehicle.
WARNING
•
PAC is designed to be a supplementary
aid when parking the vehicle. It is not,
however, intended to replace the driver’s
attention and judgment.
•
The camera has blind spots where it can-
not detect objects or people around or
near the vehicle.
•
Pay particular attention to people or ani-
mals that are close to the vehicle.
•
Objects seen on the screen may be
closer than they appear to be.
Camera views
Panorama (360°) view
Location of the cameras and their fields of vision
All four sides of the vehicle are shown in the cen-
ter display to help the driver monitor objects
close-by when maneuvering at low speeds.
Each camera view can be displayed separately:
•
Tap the center display in the desired "field of
vision," e.g., behind the rear camera, etc.
The camera view selected (front/left/right/rear)
will be indicated at the top of the graphic.
The cameras can be activated automatically or
manually, see the article "Park Assist Camera
settings."
