13. OPTIONAL MAINS UNIT OPERATION
Always observe the safety notes in the operating instructions of the optional plug-in mains unit.
The meter can be operated with an optional plug-in mains unit independently of batteries. The socket for connecting
the external mains unit is located under the side flap (16).
The inserted battery always takes precedence over the mains unit. For mains unit operation, the battery should be
removed from the device, since it is supplied by the battery otherwise. The automatic deactivation remains active in
operation with the mains unit as well.
A mains unit with the following parameters is needed for mains unit operation:
Output voltage:
9 V/DC
Output current:
approx. 500 mA
Hollow plug:
3.5 mm x 1.35 mm (outer/inner diameter)
Polarity:
Inner plus pole
Proceed as follows to connect the mains unit:
Remove the battery from the battery compartment first and close the battery compartment again.
Open the lateral cover and insert the DC plug of the mains unit into the mains socket (15).
Connect the mains unit to a power socket of the public mains.
The meter may be taken into operation.
