To comply with the accuracy during measurements, the measuring device must be calibrated
before any measuring series (or when larger deviations are found).
Calibration comprises of two parts: calibration with open measuring inputs and calibration with
closed measuring inputs “SHORT”. The two calibration steps are performed in sequence.
To start calibration, keep the button “CAL/Hz” (E) pushed for approx. 2 seconds.
The symbols “CAL” and “OPEn” are displayed.
a) Calibration with open
measuring inputs
Observe that the measuring prods are not con-
nected and are exposed. Push the button “CAL/
Hz” (E) again to start. “OPEn” flashes in the display.
After approx. 15 seconds, the result is displayed.
Display “PASS“ : partial calibration successful.
You can continue with the next item
Display “FAIL” : partial calibration failed.
In this case, check all contact points for
contamination and possible damage or ac-
cidental short-circuiting of the measuring prods. To cancel, push the button “CAL/Hz”
