10. Maintenance
Calibrate and polarise the measuring probe each time it is replaced or removed (e.g.
for topping up or changing the electrolyte).
11. Care and cleaning
Never use aggressive detergents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions, as
these may damage the casing or stop the product from functioning properly.
• This product does not require any maintenance, except for changing the battery, cleaning/
replacing the measurement probes and replacing the used electrolytes. Do not attempt to
disassemble the product (except for the actions described in these instructions, such as
changing the measurement probes).
• Clean the product carefully using a soft, clean cloth. Do not press too hard on the display, as
this may result in scratch marks or damage its function.
• Only use distilled water (or deionized water) to clean the measurement probe tips. Using
other liquids may affect the measurements. Only use paper towels to dry the measurement
probes.
• Replace the electrolyte in the cap if it turns yellow.
• Remove the used electrolyte and rinse the cap with distilled water. To top up the electrolyte,
follow the instructions in section "c) Setting up the redox probe".
• Repeat calibration and repolarisation whenever the cap is removed and screwed back on.
