COND, TDS, salt calibration (for product with item no. 1762763)
1. Make sure that the conductivity cell is connected to the conductivity cell input (13).
2. Remove the protective probe cap. Press the
button (7) to switch the meter on.
3. Press the
button (3) to select conductance mode. The "COND" symbol will appear on
the LCD display (8).
4. Prepare the calibration solution with a conductivity of 1413 μS/cm.
5. Keep the measurement probe in the air and check that 0 µS/cm is displayed. If so, calibrate
the probe in the calibration solution.
6. Use the probe tip to stir the solution until a stable value is displayed on the LCD display.
7. To start the calibration process, press and hold the
button (7) for approx. 3 seconds
until the calibration symbol "CAL" (B) appears on the LCD display (6). The value 1413 µS/
cm for the calibration solution will start to flash on the LCD display. The display will stop
flashing and show "SA" followed by "End". The calibration process is now complete. The
meter will automatically revert to measuring mode. If the calibration process fails, "Err" will
be displayed instead of "SA".
8. If 0 µS/cm was not displayed during the air test, calibrate the measurement probe in the air.
To do this, follow the above steps without submerging the probe in the calibration solution.
Once you have completed these steps, calibrate the probe with the calibration solution.
If you wish to measure a liquid with a high conductivity, use a calibration solution with
a conductivity of 12.88 mS/cm.
The standard calibration points for the conductivity are 0.84 µS/cm, 1413 µS/cm,
12.88 mS/cm and 80.0 mS/cm.
9. When you have finished calibrating, rinse the measurement probe with clean, distilled water
and wipe it dry.
h) Taking measurements
Always ensure that the correct measurement probe is connected.
1. Remove the protective probe cap from the measurement probe.
2. Rinse the measuring probe with distilled water before measuring and wipe the probe dry.
3. Press the
button (7) to switch on the meter.
4. Select "PH", "ORP", "COND", "TDS", or "Salt" mode by pressing the
button (3) until the
corresponding symbol appears on the LCD display (8).
