e) Switching on/off
• Briefly press the "
" button (7) to switch the meter on or off.
• When you switch it on, all elements will appear on the LCD display (8) for a few seconds.
Depending on the measuring probe used, a measurement and the temperature will subse-
quently be displayed.
• The battery status indicator (M) in the lower-left corner of the display indicates the current
status of the inserted battery. If the indicator is flashing, the battery is flat and must be
replaced. For details on how to replace the battery, see section "a) Inserting/changing the
batteries".
• The meter switches off automatically after approximately 10 minutes of inactivity.
f) Connection and preparation
Without additional accessories, the meter with item no. 1763394 can only measure
the pH value and the temperature It does not comes with a conductivity cell or redox
probe. These may be purchased separately.
• Connect the required measuring probes to the corresponding inputs.
• Connect the temperature sensor to the temperature sensor input (12).
• Insert the temperature sensor and the second measuring probe into the clip for the electrode
and temperature sensor. This ensures that both probes are kept at an equal, fixed distance.
g) Calibration
