9 Decommissioning and disposal
Faulty components and those that cannot be repaired must be disposed
of in an environmentally sustainable way and in compliance with the
statutory provisions.
Sort all components into the following categories before sending them for
recycling:
Metals and alloys
Aluminum
Copper
Steel
Stainless steel
Plastics
Rubber
Packaging
Wood
The local municipal authority or specialist waste disposal companies can
provide information on environmentally sustainable disposal.
