8 Help in the event of faults
8�1 What to do in the event of faults or malfunctions
Faults of any kind must be eliminated immediately to prevent major
damage to the VOGT compressed air device.
If a fault occurs, disconnect the VOGT compressed air device from the
compressed air supply immediately. Check once again that the device is
depressurized before troubleshooting.
8�2 Eliminating faults

start when the

Stop cock still

Open stop cock.
Valve or seal kit
defective or dirty.
Press and release the trigger lever several times in
succession.
If the fault cannot be eliminated, have it repaired by
a specialist workshop or by the manufacturer.
Lance does not
switch off.
Worn or unsuitable
nozzle mounted.
Replace the jet tube.
Valve or seal kit
defective or dirty.
Press and release the trigger lever several times in
succession.
If the fault cannot be eliminated, have it repaired by
a specialist workshop or by the manufacturer.
Soil cannot
be released/
loosened.
Compressor output
too low.
Use a more powerful compressor.
Wrong nozzle
mounted.
Select a suitable nozzle for the compressor output
(see chapter 10 “Technical specifications”).
Soil too dry.
Moisten the soil.
VOGT
sandblasting
unit is blocked.
Abrasive medium
damp, lumpy/caked.
Disassemble and clean the VOGT sandblasting unit.
Please use a compressor with dry air and dry abra-
sive medium.
Wrong abrasive
medium used.
Replace the abrasive medium and clean the sand-
blasting unit including the hose.
