5. Cleaning and care
5.5 Troubleshooting
If the appliance does not function, please check the following:

Is the appliance connected to the mains power supply?

Is the fuse of the used mains socket burnt out?
3
Was the dry boil protection activated?
Check the function of the mains plug with a different appliance. If the dry
boil function was activated (see paragraph 4.2 Dry boil protection), remove
the mains plug from the main socket and leave the appliance for 30 minutes.
If water squirts out of the appliance during boiling, please check the following:

Is the appliance filled over the “MAX” marking?

Is the filter placed correctly?
Switch off the appliance and pour out the excess water. Due to safety reasons,
the appliance should not be filled over the “MAX” marking. Additionally check
if the filter is placed securely in the appliance.
If these are white spots or residue in the appliance, please check the following:
This is caused due to limescale deposits. Descale the appliance as described
in paragraph
5.2 Descaling

NOTE:
Contact our customer service, if the appliance remains non-
functional after checking the above points. Do not try under any
circumstances to repair the appliance yourself.
6. Disposal
Correct disposal of this appliance:
This mark indicates that no electrical devices in the EU must be
disposed of along with normal household waste.
Please use the return and collection systems in your community or
contact the retailer where the appliance was purchased.
