3. Guide the power cord (6) through the cord cut-out (5) in the base (7).
4. Use the appliance as described in paragraph 4.4 Boiling water described.
5. Fill the water tank (11) to the “MAX” marking with water. The water level can
be seen via the water level indicator (10).
6. Boil water two to three times. Dispose of the water from these completed boil
processes. It contains production particles and should not be consumed.
4.4 Boiling water
1. Remove the water tank (11) from the base (7).
2. Open the lid (1) by pressing the unlock button (2).
3. Fill the water tank (11) with the desired amount of water. Follow the details given
in paragraph 1.1 Technical data . Do not over- or underfill the water tank (11).
4. Close the lid (1) so its locks in place.
Caution - Danger of burns! Do not use the appliance with the lid (1)
open. Do not open the lid (1) during the boiling process.
NOTE: The On-/Off-switch 0/I (4) has to be accessible at all times.
5. Place the water tank (11) on the base (7). Ensure that the water tank (11) is
vertical and securely placed on the base (7). Connect the mains plug (6) to a
mains socket.
6. Switch the On-/Off-switch 0/I (4) to position I (on) to switch the appliance
on. The operation light (9) indicates that the appliance is switched on and the
boiling process has started.
NOTE: You can interrupt or stop the boiling process at any time by
operating the On-/Off-switch 0/I (4) and placing it in the position 0 (off).
7. After reaching the boiling point, the appliance automatically switches off, the
On-/Off-switch 0/I (4) jumps into the position 0 and the operation light (9)
extinguishes.
8. Disconnect the mains plug (6) from the main socket.
9. Carefully lift the water tank (11) off the base (7) by using the handle (3) and
pour out the water via the spout (12). Always keep the lid (1) closed when
pouring water.
